The Manukau Youth Orchestra ran a band programme at Waimahia Intermediate School for six and a half years from term 3 of 2014 until the end of 2020. We taught students how to play band instruments at the school such as flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet and trombone.
From 2018 we also taught all students at the school how to play keyboard, providing an introduction to music notation and theory.
