The Manukau Youth Orchestra started the band programme and Manurewa Intermediate in 2021. It was tough going with all the lockdowns throughout the pandemic and at the beginning of 2022 we held lessons outside. Music tutor Joseph Allan created a new band method which contains songs from around the world.
This year 2026 we are teaching trumpet, trombone, saxophone, flute and clarinet on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the school. See Facebook and YouTube for past performances.
